Bikeshare is fine for those capable, but what of the other 99% of the county that would appreciate going to Riverscape and renting an electric bike or cart? I only dream of sharing our wonderful river bikeway with family, friends, visitors who can’t walk or bike so well, including me. According to Metroparks, bike on the busy streets, ok. Electric vehicles on the deserted bikeway, unsafe. I would volunteer to gather corporate sponsors of carts and escorts to drive them if desired.
@Don- the two don’t have to mutually exclusive- although I’m not sure everyone should be able to just hop on an electric bike. They take a bit of getting used to.
