In this exclusive post, Esrati.com exposes how Dayton City Commission candidate Karen Wick lied about her age — a fact the Dayton Daily News failed to correct transparently. Wick’s record on the Dayton School Board, her loyalty to Jeff Mims’ political machine, and her pattern of poor leadership raise serious concerns for voters. As local media outlets ignore or mishandle the truth, Esrati.com continues to break the real stories, including the latest on the Montgomery County Jail scandal and Sheriff Streck’s failings.

On April 30, 2025, the Montgomery County Jail placed Sgts. Eaton and Solomon and Corrections Officers Drake, Hartman, Wheatley, C. Jones, Bittinger, Holley, and Patel on administrative leave in advance of the release of the coroner’s report on the death of Christian Black.
The coroner ruled Black’s March 26 death a homicide caused by mechanical and positional asphyxia after he was tasered while restrained in a chair.
Dayton Police, who led the investigation, are asking for murder charges against the jailers.
While local media outlets picked up the story later, you read it here first on Esrati.com — where we will continue to follow the case as it moves toward possible grand jury action.

Proof that Mohamed Al-Hamdani is a lousy Dem Party Chairman
April 8, 2025 @ 6:48 pm

Montgomery County Democratic Party Chair Mohamed Al-Hamdani is failing at the most basic job of political leadership: finding candidates and helping them win. With dozens of uncontested races, outdated and inaccessible election information, and widespread voter apathy, local democracy is a facade. Instead of building a functioning party infrastructure or recruiting viable candidates, Al-Hamdani and his peers maintain the status quo through silence and backroom deals. It’s time to demand real leadership, transparency, and competition in our elections—or admit the system is broken by design.
